OUR VITAMIN FAMILY

We all know the crucial role that vitamins play in a healthy diet and they’re also powerful allies when used in skincare products. That’s why we use vitamin-rich natural ingredients and add vitamins to our formulations, to boost efficacy and treat specific skin concerns. You’ll find them in our blends throughout the Glow Lab range.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is a potent vitamin when it comes to maintaining the health of our skin as we age. It stimulates the dermis layer of the skin, where collagen, elastin and the blood vessels sit – and in doing so, increases collagen production and blood flow to the surface of the skin. This results in reduced wrinkles and healthier skin. It’s historically a powerful ally in treating acne and scars with its wound healing and hydrating properties. Vitamin A is fat soluble, which allows it to enter skin cells and work from within to cleanse pores and neutralise free radical damage.

Vitamin A is found in Glow Lab’s Brightening Exfoliator, Facial Serum, Brightening Face Mask, Detoxifying Face Mask, Hydrating Face Mask, Detoxifying Clay Mask, Rejuvenating Clay Mask

Vitamin C

This skin perfecting ingredient is tolerated by most skin types and is another trick up your sleeve when it comes to looking after your skin. It’s a powerful antioxidant, dampening down inflammation caused by free radicals. Vitamin C increases collagen production in both young and mature skins, as well as elastin, which protects and strengthens skin cells. This action helps to plump the skin surface and improve the appearance and texture of the skin. Vitamin C also goes to work on pigmentation and supports and heals skin which is prone to blemishes or breakouts.

Vitamin C is found in Glow Lab’s Gel Cleanser, Brightening Exfoliator, Eye Serum, Facial Serum, Facial Oil, Night Cream, Detoxifying Clay Mask, Rejuvenating Clay Mask

Vitamin B

There’s a group of vitamins that makes up the Vitamin B family and they all play a different role in achieving healthy skin. The antioxidant Vitamin B1 increases circulation and protects the skin from the effects of ageing and environmental damage, including smoking. Vitamin B2 and B7 reduce breakouts and blemishes, while B5 – also known as pantothenic acid – reduces oil production and acne. It also helps to protect the skin barrier, retaining moisture levels in skin, so the skin feels more supple and smooth. Vitamin B3 (niacin) is a key anti-ageing ingredient in skincare, reducing fine lines and uneven skin tone and protecting against harmful UV rays.

The Vitamin B family is found in Glow Lab’s Crème Cleanser, Facial Moisturiser, Facial Serum, Facial Oil, Brightening Face Mask, Detoxifying Face Mask, Hydrating Face Mask, Detoxifying Clay Mask, Rejuvenating Clay Mask, Body Lotion, Body Wash

Vitamin E

A superstar when it comes to vitamins that enhance skin, Vitamin E boosts the production of collagen which maintains the skin’s elasticity and suppleness, in turn, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. A natural antioxidant, it fights free radical damage that lead to pigmentation like age spots and protects skin from UV damage. Vitamin E is a humectant which restores lost moisture to skin.

Vitamin E is blended in Glow Lab’s Facial Moisturiser, Eye Serum, Facial Serum, Facial Oil, Night Cream, Brightening Face Mask, Detoxifying Face Mask, Hydrating Face Mask, Detoxifying Clay Mask, Rejuvenating Clay Mask, Body Lotion, Body Wash
