Ceralipid PI236

Glow Lab chooses to say ‘NO’ to artificial additives and harsh chemicals that can cause irritation to our skin's natural microbiome, or other harm to ourselves, our environment and the animals we share it with.
In an industry where no two definitions of 'natural' or 'clean' are the same, we want to make it clear to you which ingredients we choose not to include in our formulations. On the back of our packs, you'll find a NO,NO,NO list. This is our promise to you, so that you can make an informed and confident decision about what you choose to put on your skin.
For Glow Lab, trust is everything. This extends to across all aspects of our supply chain - so we ask that all our suppliers meet our product promise before we agree to work with them.

OUR PRODUCT PROMISE
NO PARABENS
Parabens are synthetic preservatives used widely throughout the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry.
We choose alternative preservative systems at low levels, and rigorously test every product we make to ensure the efficacy of these systems before we launch them.
NO PHTHALATES
Phthalates are chemical compounds used in cosmetic & personal care products for a number of reasons.
While there is no categorical evidence proving that phthalates are harmful, there is significant research that shows long-term exposure to phthalates can disrupt the body's natural ability to produce and balance hormones. They also pose a risk to certain types of marine life.
Glow Lab chooses not to include phthalates in any of our products.
NO SILICONES
Silicone is produced from non-renewable sources and is non-biodegradable, so it doesn't break down in landfill (at least not in our lifetimes).
We choose other oils, extracts and compounds to achieve our desired textures and feels.
NO SYNTHETIC DYES
Artificial colourants may be harmful to ourselves and our environment so we choose not to include them in any of our products.
Instead, they are uncoloured or we use natural ingredients to achieve their colour.
NO MINERAL OILS
We choose not to use highly refined oils sourced from non-renewable resources, such as petrolatum.
Instead, you'll find our formulations packed with nourishing plant oils like Rosehip, Jojoba, Coconut and Shea Butter.
CRUELTY FREE
We don't want animals to suffer for our benefit.
We never test on animals, and the vast majority of our products are vegan.
Where it is not possible to find a vegan version of an ingredient we do our best to find a sustainably-sourced option. For example, in the case of Keratin - which is often sourced from the hooves, horns and claws of animals - we source it from 100% renewable NZ sheep's wool, a byproduct of sheep shearing which does no harm to the animal.
